Police have barricaded a portion of Galaxy Avenue in Dartmouth, and residents on scene say they are dealing with a possible murder-suicide in one of the apartment buildings there. A building has been taped off, and Police have been questioning people in the area.

Police are currently at an apartment at 7 Galaxy Avenue in Dartmouth, investigating the circumstances surrounding the death of two people.
Police responded to the apartment building at 5 p.m. to conduct a well-being check of a female resident. Upon gaining entrance to an apartment, a woman and man, both believed to be in their late fifties, were found deceased. Their identities are being withheld pending notification of next of kin.
Members in the HRP/RCMP Integrated Major Crime Unit and HRP Forensic Identification Section are currently on scene, and the matter is under investigation.
