Pictou County District RCMP is investigating hate-motivated graffiti that was painted on Hwy. 104 in Broadway.
On July 28, Pictou County District RCMP received a report of racist graffiti that had been spray-painted on the surface of the highway, near mile marker 192.
Officers learned that a man driving a white 2008 Chevrolet Express cargo van was seen near the area where the graffiti was painted.
Map location is approximate and may not reflect the exact location.
The graffiti was promptly painted over by a construction crew working in the area.
Investigators believe that the incident was motivated by hate.
The RCMP takes incidents of hate with utmost seriousness and condemns these criminal acts. The investigation is ongoing.
