Police investigating after body discovered at Chain Lake recycling facility

From Halifax Regional Police:

On August 19, at approximately 2:20 p.m., police responded to a recycling facility on Chain Lake Drive where the body of an adult man was located. Police have confirmed the body arrived at the facility in a truck that collected materials from commercial containers throughout Bayers Lake and Halifax yesterday morning. Further details are still under investigation including the cause and manner of death but at this time the death is not believed to be suspicious.

The Nova Scotia Medical Examiner Service has completed an autopsy and confirmed the deceased is a 50-year-old Halifax man. Police extend condolences to the man’s loved ones.
