A man was arrested after an incident in Downtown Halifax yesterday afternoon.
At 4:30 pm Halifax Regional Police responded to a dispute on Albermarble Drive near Duke Street in Halifax. The call was a result of a dispute between a Metro Transit Driver and another motorist. The motorist got out of his vehicle and boarded the bus trying to strike the driver. The driver exited the bus and the male followed him striking him in the chest and threatening him. A citizen stepped in to assist and tried to stop the male from leaving the scene. The citizen stood in front of his car at which time the male put the car in gear and struck the citizen knocking him to the ground. Police arrived at this point and arrested the male. The 41 year old male will be appearing in court on Friday to face several charges included Uttering threats, Assault and Assault with a weapon.
