Halifax Regional Police is releasing the description of the clothing found on the body located in the Harbour yesterday.
At 2:40 p.m. yesterday, Halifax Regional Police responded to a report of an object floating in Halifax Harbour. With the help of a Halifax Regional Fire and Emergency boat, the object was determined to be a human body.
The body was transported to the medical examiner’s office and an autopsy was conducted today. The medical examiner has confirmed the gender of the deceased as male. The deceased was wearing a dark coloured American Eagle brand winter jacket, size large, Aeropostale brand blue jeans, a brown belt and Nike brand sneakers.
The incident has been assigned to the VICE Unit, which is responsible for investigating missing persons. Anyone who believes they can identify the deceased, or has any information about this incident, is asked to contact police at 490-5020.
