Halifax RCMP, with assistance from the Halifax Regional Board of Police Commissioners, will be hosting community consultation sessions throughout Halifax Regional Municipality in March 2014.
The purpose of the sessions will be to give citizens, local councilors and government representatives the opportunity to discuss various community topics in an effort to help the RCMP in Halifax determine its policing priorities for 2014/2015.
“I encourage people come out and meet their local RCMP members and share their views,” said Insp. Trish MacCormack, Acting Officer in Charge of Halifax RCMP. “We want to hear directly from the communities we serve because the information gathered as part of these sessions is going to help us determine our way forward.”
Each session will take place from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. Details about each session can be found below. Reminders will be sent out about each session on Facebook (www.facebook.com/rcmpns) and Twitter (@rcmpns) .
