One Ejected, Three Flee MVA On Prince Albert

At 12:10 AM – an East Division patrol officer came across a single vehicle accident on Prince Albert Road in Dartmouth. 
A vehicle had seemingly lost control and struck a power pole causing significant damage to the car as well as the pole. As the officer pulled up to the scene he observed two woman fleeing from the car, he gave chase and subsequently arrested both parties. The officer then discovered that a third party had fled the scene into a nearby wooded area. Several units responded to contain the area and a K9 search was conducted that led to the arrest of a man who was determined to be the driver of the vehicle. During the course of the investigation it was learned that one of the two adult women had been ejected from the car, as a result she was taken along with the second woman to hospital for a medical examination as a precaution. The driver was not injured.
 
The HRP Accident Investigation Unit is currently on site conducting their examination of the accident scene, traffic is currently being redirected on Prince Albert Rd.  This matter remains under investigation at this time.
