A Stroll In The Park & Sunday Dinner

Good evening bloggies, weekend’s wrapping up already.  After a busy day with Mom yesterday, today was all about relaxing.

Lately I haven’t been sleeping well.  I woke up at 3am and then finally fell back asleep an hour and a half later.  Didn’t get out of bed until well after 8am, which was nice.

Later in the morning, we met up with some friends for a lovely stroll thru Shubie Park. We spent well over an hour walking the trails and admiring the views.  I’m trying not to post too many non-healthy living/food pictures on here, but if you’re interested in checking out some shots from today, you can see them here.

Ran a few errands and then spent the afternoon doing nothing. It was awesome. 🙂

I have successfully listened to my body’s hunger signals and tracked all my eats this weekend.  It feels great!!  I love that I’m not worried about the scale, it’s making this a lot easier. The pressure’s is off so I’m just going with the flow and taking it one day at a time.

Supper was a pile of local goodness.

We roasted a turkey breast.  Topped with homemade cranberry sauce.

And served with piles of fresh valley veggies.  Fingerling potatoes tossed in olive oil, pepper, minced garlic & fresh thyme.

Buttercup squash baked with brown sugar & butter.

And my fav, brussel sprouts!!!!!! Tossed in olive oil and a sprinkle of pepper. Fan-freakin-tastic!

Fresh, local veggies rock my world. Glad there’s leftovers for my lunch tomorrow.

Well, that’s it for me.  Off to see what you’re all up to.
