Amherst RCMP Investigates Fatal Motor Vehicle Collision

December 6, 2018 @ 5:25 p.m. RCMP received a report of a two vehicle collision on highway 104 on the eastbound side near exit 2.
RCMP, Fire and EHS are on scene, a 75 year old male was found dead in the driver’s seat of the vehicle that collided with the truck.
Initial investigation indicates the vehicle driven by the man collided head on with a tractor trailer. No one else was injured.
The eastbound side of highway 104 is closed to traffic. Traffic is being detoured at exit 2 at Laplanche street.  The westbound side of the 104 is not affected.
