Police Investigate Weapons Call / Forcible Confinement – Halifax

9:40 p.m., on the 6th of December, Halifax Regional Police responded to a Weapons Call in the 1600 block of Hollis Street Halifax.

A 19-year-old male from China reported earlier in the evening he was forced into a vehicle at gunpoint, then held against his will and assaulted by two males.  The suspects are known to the victim and are from China as well.  The victim sustained minor non-life threatening injuries and did not require medical treatment.

Police did locate the two male suspects and arrested them at gunpoint.  Both males are facing charges and held for court.  The suspects, 19 and 22 year old males are facing the following charges:

  • The 19-year-old male will be charged with Pointing a Firearm, Use of a Imitation Firearm in the Commission of an Offence, Forcible Confinement and Assault.
  • The 22-year-old male is facing a charge of Forcible Confinement.

Investigators with the General Investigation Section of the Integrated Criminal Investigation Division are currently investigating and the investigation is ongoing.
