Annapolis District RCMP investigate break and enter with violence, Granville Center, N.S.

Annapolis District RCMP have arrested a 41-year-old male in relation to a break and enter that occurred in Granville Center. On Sunday October 6th, shortly before 9 p.m., Annapolis County RCMP responded to a report of a break and enter where two males forced their way into a residence and assaulted a male resident.

On Sunday October 6th, shortly before 9 p.m., Annapolis County RCMP responded to a report of a break and enter where two males forced their way into a residence and assaulted a male resident.

Preliminary investigation revealed that the resident, who was not seriously injured, was also threatened with a firearm.

At approximately 10:30 p.m. that evening, RCMP arrested Jeremy Bent of Annapolis County without incident. Bent is facing charges of Break and Enter, Pointing a Firearm, Unsafe Storage of Firearm, Assault, Possession of a Weapon for a Dangerous Purpose (two counts) and Uttering Threats.

The investigation is continuing. This was not a random act and parties are known to each other.
