Another Mary Brown’s, Harbour Jet Ski’s

It looks like Maritime Billiards is going to open in the former dojo/church on Main St. at Raymoor (if their liquor license is approved). It will be called Maritime Billiards Country Lounge.

Velos Pizza on Almon is closed for about two years as they redevelop the property, but they have a Fairview location now that will fulfill any delivery orders for the peninsula during construction.

NSLC released fiscal numbers for the 2015-16 year today.
Overall profits are up 5.8%($241.3M)
Fantastic numbers on the made in Nova Scotia side of things.

  • NS Wine was up 8.7% ($9.6M total)
  • NS Craft Beer was up 25.5% ($7.6M total)
  • NS ready to drink, mostly cider was up 44%
  • NS Spirits were up 177.3% ($1.5M total)
    It’s a great trend to see our people embracing our NS made products!

There is now a Jet Ski/Boat rental place at Kings Wharf where the Harbour Taxi docks. East Coast Watercraft Rentals. $80/hr for a wave rider $500/day for a pontoon boat.

Hands-On Halifax Community Workshop will be opening at 6070 Almon St. This awesome because I have something simple I want to build but don’t have the room for a workshop!

Tasty Buds “medical marijuana dispensary” will be opening where the Loop was on Barrington (between Salter and Blowers)
