Antigonish RCMP investigate damage to police vehicles, Antigonish, N.S.

Antigonish County RCMP are investigating an overnight incident where four police cruisers had a tire slashed. At approximately 12:40 a.m., RCMP discovered that 4 marked RCMP vehicles had been damaged.

At approximately 12:40 a.m., RCMP discovered that 4 marked RCMP vehicles had been damaged.

Four vehicles had a tire on each slashed while parked in the Detachment parking lot. This is very concerning to the Detachment Operational Commander. ‘Police vehicles are needed to respond to emergencies and save lives and such criminal acts impact public safety. People should be concerned about this’ stated Sgt. Brian Rehill. The vehicles have been returned to operational status at this time.
