Libraries throughout HRM are celebrating Asian Heritage Month in May. There are many events at the Bedford library to honour Asian traditions and customs.

Ikebana: The Art of Japanese Flower Arrangement
Join Miyako from Mirochi Japanese Flower Arrangement as she demonstrates this traditional Japanese art. You’ll create your own unique flower arrangement to take home. Registration required, call 490-5757. Wednesday, May 20 at 7 p.m.

Stories from China Storytime
For ages 3 to 5. Enjoy some tales from China! Friday, May 22 at 10:30 a.m. Tickets given out 30 minutes before.

Puppet Show
All ages. Thursday, May 21 at 10:30 a.m. Chopsticks the Mouse & the Chinese Dragon.
