ATM stolen from business, getaway vehicle burned

RCMP release:

Cumberland County District RCMP is investigating a theft of an ATM in Springhill.

On August 27, 2023, at approximately 4 a.m., Cumberland County District RCMP responded to a report of an intrusion alarm at a business on McGee St. in Springhill. RCMP officers attended and learned that an ATM had been pulled out of the business by a truck, before the truck fled the area. RCMP officers later located the same truck, completely destroyed by fire, approximately 500 metres away from where the break-in occurred.
