Attempted Armored Car Robbery By Man In Batman Mask

Police are investigating an attempted armed robbery of an armoured vehicle late Thursday evening.
 
On Thursday evening at approximately 11:22 p.m., an armoured vehicle was making a delivery at the Royal Bank, 790 Sackville Drive, Lower Sackville. The guards were in the process of unloading the inventory when they were approached by a lone male suspect armed with a firearm. The guards reacted to the suspect causing him to flee the scene in a vehicle parked nearby. No one was injured during this incident.
 
The suspect is described as being a white male, in his 20’s, wearing a “BATMAN” mask, blue hooded sweatshirt, jeans and running shoes. The escape vehicle is described as a dark coloured mini-van.
 
Lower Sackville RCMP and the General Investigation Section of the Integrated Criminal Investigation Division continue with the investigation.
