At 2:40 A.M. Halifax Regional Police officers responded to an attempt break and enter at a residence in the 6000 block of Charles St.
The resident stated that an unknown person had tried to enter the house via the patio door but it appears that the door chime scared them off.  Officers contained the area and K-9 began a track. While this was occurring a second attempt break and enter was called in from a residence in the 2300 block of Clifton St. A short time later a 21 year old male was arrested at the corner of Maynard St and West St. This male is currently in police custody and will be attending Halifax Provincial Court to face charges of attempt break and enter as well as violation of a court order.
