At approximately 8:35 pm a 62 year old male was in his apartment on Kennedy Dr. in Dartmouth when he heard a knock at his door.
He yelled for whoever it was to come in. Two females and 3 males entered the apartment and one of the males was armed with a hand gun. The suspects demanded property from the victim. The victim could tell that the hand gun was not real and was able to take it from the suspect during a brief struggle. The suspects then fled the apartment. No one was injured during the incident and the suspects did not get anything from the apartment. This was not a random incident as the 2 female suspects were known to the victim. A short time after the incident Halifax Regional Police arrested one of the female suspects. This matter is still currently under investigation by the HRP/RCMP Integrated General Investigation Section as well as Halifax Regional Police patrol officers.
