Wagmatcook and Baddeck RCMP conducted a search at a Wagmatcook home yesterday afternoon.

At approximately 4 p.m., RCMP executed a search warrant at a residence in the community of Wagmatcook.

A search of the home resulted in the RCMP seizing methadone, oxycodone and hydromorphone. A 39-year-old male and an 37-year-old female were arrested in the home without incident.

Vincent Googoo Junior and Kristina Poulette, both from Wagmatcook, have each been charged under the Controlled Drug and Substances Act for Trafficking in a Controlled Substance and Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking. They were released from police custody and will be appearing in Baddeck Provincial Court on December 8th, 2014. The investigation is continuing.
