Barrington Street – Continuing Street Closure

Friday, September 16, 2016 (Halifax, NS) – The Halifax Regional Municipality is advising residents and motorists that the multi-week project will continue for work on street, sidewalk and lighting infrastructure on Barrington Street between Duke Street and Spring Garden Road.

Barrington Street between Duke and Spring Garden Road will be closed to vehicular traffic from Sunday to Thursday evenings. The closures will be in effect during the overnight hours only, from 9 p.m. to 7 a.m. the following morning. The closure continues until the end of October.

During this work, crews will be working on street and sidewalk upgrades, asphalt paving, and repairs to existing street light bases. Please note pedestrian access will be maintained at all times.

Motorists are advised to find alternative routes during this street closure.

The municipality regrets any inconvenience this work and associated street closure may cause.
