Bay Road Subway Robbed

  At approximately 9:50 pm two males entered the Subway store located at 28 St Margaret’s Bay Rd in Halifax. The males had their faces covered by pulling their jacket collars up. They jumped the counter of the store, showed the clerk a canister of some type of sensory irritant and demanded the cash from the register. 

 

At approximately 9:50 pm two males entered the Subway store located at 28 St Margaret’s Bay Rd in Halifax. The males had their faces covered by pulling their jacket collars up. They jumped the counter of the store, showed the clerk a canister of some type of sensory irritant and demanded the cash from the register. 
The suspects obtained a quantity of cash and as they were exiting the store one of the suspects turned and sprayed the clerk with the sensory irritant. The suspects then fled the area on foot.
Halifax Regional Police members along with EHS attended the scene. The clerk was treated at the scene but did not sustain any serious injuries.
 
Suspect #1: white male, 18-20 years of age, 5’8 to 6’0 feet in height, thin build, wearing blue jeans, dark shoes, a dark hoodie and red gloves.
Suspect #2: white male, 18-20 years of age, 5’8 to 6’0 feet  in height, thin build, wearing a gray jacket with a stripe across the front, dark jeans and dark shoes.
 
This incident is still under investigation by the Halifax Integrated General Investigation Section. Anyone with information about this incident is asked to contact officers at 490-5016 or anonymously through Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477) or online at www.crimestoppers.ns.ca.
