Bayers Road collision under investigation

At 4:55 p.m. today, October 3rd, 2020 Halifax Regional Police responded to a motor vehicle collision in the 6500 block of Bayers Road in Halifax.

The driver of an SUV was changing lanes and  hit a vehicle that was legally parked. The SUV rolled over as a result of the impact. The 81-year-old male driver sustained non-life threatening injuries and was treated at hospital. The other  vehicle was legally parked at the time it was struck, there was an occupant in the parked car who sustained minor injuries.

Bayers Road was closed between Connaught Avenue and Connolly Street for approximately 30 minutes until the vehicles were removed.

The incident remains under investigation. Anyone with information about this incident is asked to contact police at 902-490-5016.
