On a hot summer day, I prefer to read a novel that is set in the summertime. It makes it easier to immerse myself in the fiction and I can identify with it more.
In the fall I like to read books set in the autumn. In the winter I like my novels to be set in the winter. Am I the only one? I think it feels strange to lie on a hot beach reading of frigid temperatures. Some would argue that they like it because the setting of the novel keeps them cool, but not me.
