Crash leads to firearm related charges

At 03:30am a, witness called 911 after seeing a truck weaving on the Bedford Highway and crashing into a power pole.​

The male driver left the scene on foot but was arrested a short distance away. He refused the breath demand and was subsequently charged with firearms offences and violation of a prohibition order after a loaded handgun was located in the glove box of the truck.

The 28yr old male will appear in Halifax Provincial Court on Tuesday.
