“The addition of a new school in Bedford will ensure that students have access to modern facilities that support learning and development,” said Bedford Basin MLA Tim Outhit. “This is a much-needed investment for families in the area.”

The revised plan now features 19 new or replacement schools, with three scheduled to open in the 2025-26 school year. The plan also maintains funding for school infrastructure repairs and modular classrooms.

“Education is a cornerstone of community growth, and this new school will help meet the demands of our expanding population,” said Bedford South MLA Damian Stoilov. “Parents want to know their children have the best possible opportunities, and this school is an important step toward that goal.”

The new school, which will be designed to accommodate the region’s increasing student population, will feature modern classrooms, collaborative learning spaces, and enhanced accessibility. The investment is part of the PC Government’s broader effort to invest more than $1 billion in school infrastructure across Nova Scotia.
