Bible Hill RCMP investigate bomb threat, Bible Hill, N.S.

Colchester District RCMP are investigating after a gas station in Bible Hill received a bomb threat.

At approximately 11:30 a.m. today, RCMP responded to a report of a bomb threat at Kennedy’s Esso on Pictou Road in Bible Hill.

A female caller, with an accent, contacted the manager at the Esso and threatened that she had a bomb and would blow up the store. The store was closed and a search of the location did not uncover anything suspicious.

It is believed the incident is related to a similar investigation that occurred today at a gas station on Highway 6 in West Amherst. At noon today, the Esso station in Amherst also received a bomb threat. Both investigations are continuing.

Police are requesting the public’s assistance for any information related to this matter. Calls to Crime Stoppers are not taped or traced and if police make an arrest and lay charges based on a tip, caller qualify for a cash reward from $50 – $2000.
