Cape Breton RCMP charge drug impaired driver caught in stolen vehicle, Sydney, N.S.

Cape Breton RCMP Traffic Services arrested a 23-year-old man from Sydney who was driving erratically on Highway 125 on Sunday. On October 19th at approximately 10:45 p.m.

Cape Breton RCMP Traffic Services arrested a 23-year-old man from Sydney who was driving erratically on Highway 125 on Sunday.

On October 19th at approximately 10:45 p.m.

, Cape Breton RCMP Traffic Services responded to a complaint of an erratic driver headed towards North Sydney. RCMP spotted the vehicle a short time later and a check on the license plate revealed that the vehicle had been stolen from Sydney. RCMP attempted to pull the vehicle over but the driver failed to stop and continued to drive through several stop signs, over curbs and finally into a ditch. The man was arrested in Sydney Mines and taken into custody.

Christopher Kyle Coleski has been charged with Impaired Driving by Drug, Dangerous Operation of a Motor Vehicle, Theft of Vehicle, Possession of Stolen Property, and Flight from Police. He appeared in Sydney Provincial Court yesterday and has been remanded into custody for a bail hearing on October 29th, 2014 in Sydney. The investigation is continuing.
