Friday, April 15, 2016 (Halifax, NS) – The Halifax Regional Municipality is advising residents that a section of Bishop Street in Halifax will be closed to vehicle traffic for several days next week while crews continue connecting municipal services to a nearby private development.
The street will shut down between Hollis Street and Lower Water Street starting at 9 a.m. on Wednesday, April 20, and remain closed until 9 p.m. on Friday, April 22.
Traffic control crews will be on site to accommodate local traffic looking to access the underground parking garage in that area. As well, the sidewalk on the south side of Bishop Street will remain open for pedestrians.
Motorists are asked to use alternative routes for the duration of the street closure. The municipality regrets any inconvenience this closure or the work may cause.
