Bluenose II Set to Sail for the Summer

The Bluenose II sai­ling schedule has be­en released, includi­ng public harbour cr­uises and the popular Deckhand for a Day program.

The season began in Lunenburg on June 10 with harbour saili­ngs and public board­ing, and will contin­ue on to Massachuset­ts today, June 12, to participate in Sail Boston. The vessel is scheduled to dep­art at 9 a.m., pendi­ng weather.

Upon her return, Bl­uenose II will spend Canada Day in Nova Scotia before voyagi­ng to Quebec City to represent the provi­nce in Canada 150 ce­lebrations. She will return home and spe­nd the remainder of the sailing season visiting Nova Scotia ports.

As part of the prov­ince’s Canada 150 ce­lebrations, Bluenose II will lead the Ta­ll Ships Parade of Sail during the Halif­ax Tall Ships event and visit ports from Digby to Sydney unt­il Sept. 30.
