Break and Enter suspect located, arrested and charged – Fox Point

Lunenburg District RCMP has located the second suspect in a break and enter in progress discovered by RCMP officers in the early morning hours of March 14.

At 2:52 a.m. on March 14, Lunenburg District RCMP were responding to a call of a suspicious vehicle on Fox Point Rd. When the police officers arrived on scene, they discovered a break and enter in progress, and they attempted to arrest the two suspects who were inside the home. One fled into the nearby ocean and was arrested a short time afterwards. The second man fled into the woods and, while he was running, his footwear came off and was later recovered by police. He continued running.

The first suspect, Mason Gary Michael Brigley, 21, of Fox Point, is charged with:

Mischief

Obstruction

Fail to Comply with Conditions

Break and Enter

Take Motor Vehicle Without Consent

He appeared in court March 14 and was released on conditions. He is scheduled to return to Bridgewater Provincial Court on March 27.

The second suspect, a 25-year-old man of Bridgewater, was arrested on the evening of March 14 in Hubbards. Charges are expected in relation to the second suspect but have not been laid at this time. The investigation is ongoing.
