Breaking: Mass police presence at MSVU

Police have confirmed there is no threat at Mount Saint Vincent University and the lockdown has been lifted. 

Police responded at approximately 1 p.m. for second-hand reports that an armed robbery may have taken place at the University’s café. There were no reports of gunshots and no reports of injuries.

Police searched the school and found no evidence of a threat. A police presence will remain as the investigation continues.

2pm update:

Police are responding to a weapons complaint at Mount Saint Vincent University.

The University is in lockdown. All members of the public are asked to avoid the area. There will be a heavy police as the investigation continues.

At this time, it is not believed that this incident is connected to the shooting in Dartmouth.
