Two teens face charges following an incident at the Metro Transit Bridge Terminal this morning in Dartmouth.
At 11:29 a.m. police responded to the terminal after receiving report that approximately 15-20 youths were being disruptive and refusing to leave the property. Upon arrival, officers asked the youths to leave the property but they refused and began fighting with each other. Officers arrested three youths for causing a disturbance and a male officer broke one of his hands while conducting one of the arrests.
A 14-year-old female youth is facing charges of causing a disturbance, assaulting a police officer and resisting arrest. A 17-year-old male youth is charged with causing a disturbance, resisting arrest and carrying a concealed weapon after officers located a knife on him. Both are being held in custody and will appear in Halifax Provincial Youth Court tomorrow. The third youth was release without charges.
