Brindi: Behind Bars Again?

After a lengthy battle, and freedom with conditions, and then an apparent second offense, Brindi the dog has been captured again.

Shaune MacKinlay with HRM had no comment about the alleged capture on Monday evening, but the Chronicle-Herald reports that indeed the dog is in custody.

Halifax media reported days ago that the dog was in trouble yet again after being ordered to be put down in 2008 after an attack on another dog, which led to a long court battle with HRM.

The Free Brindi blog has not been updated since June 1st, with the last blog post showing an alleged quote from the animal control officer who first apprehended the dog after the first incident:

"Sorry I just got the e-mail today, so I missed the news. I no longer support Ms Scolaro or MacDonald with their pursuit of this case, and I have not for quite some time. I feel I acted with good intentions and did not expect this case to be so drawn out or adversarial. I am not qualified to inspect a fence, nor am I qualified to accept/reject a trainer. I do not think this office is run professionally and wish you all the best."
