Saturday, July16, 2016 (Halifax, NS) – The Halifax Regional Municipality is advising residents that the sidewalk adjacent to the Scotiabank Centre on the east side of Brunswick Street, from Duke Street to Carmichael Street, will be closed to pedestrians for the next few months.
Beginning on Monday, July 18, through until November, construction fencing will be in place along the Brunswick Street side of the Scotiabank Centre, as a safety precaution due to planned work overhead to re-roof the facility.
Pedestrians travelling along this section of Brunswick Street should proceed along the sidewalk on the western side of Brunswick Street.
Access to the Scotiabank Centre will be maintained at each corner of the building on Brunswick Street.
The bicycle lane on Brunswick Street will not be affected during the course of this work.
Please note additional temporary sidewalk closures may be required from time to time on Carmichael Street to accommodate work taking place on that section of the building.
The municipality regrets any inconvenience this sidewalk closure may cause.
