Bus Rapid Transit Open House – Monday, Feb. 12

Halifax Transit will be hosting an open house session on Monday to discuss the potential of a Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) network in the Halifax Regional Municipality.

Open house discussions will include potential BRT corridors, service levels, station location options for future routes, and the overall feasibility of BRT as a viable transportation option for Halifax.

Public feedback collected at open house sessions will help inform a staff report to Regional Council later this spring.

WHEN: Monday, Feb. 12, 2018 from 2-4:30 p.m. and 5:30-8 p.m.
WHERE: Halifax Central Library, BMO Community Room

Residents can also provide feedback at shapeyourcityhalifax.ca/shape-your-city-halifax.

The Government of Canada is contributing up to $100,000 through the Public Transit Infrastructure Fund to study the feasibility of implementing a Bus Rapid Transit service in the Halifax region, with matching funds from the Halifax Regional Municipality.
