Dartmouth.
 
On April 29 at 4:37 a.m., two HRP Patrol Officers were in the area of
Roleika Drive and Caledonia Road when they heard multiple gunshots.
Approximately ten minutes later, the officers, assisted by other patrol
members, arrested two men walking on Roleika Drive, while a K9 team
recovered a handgun nearby. Multiple bullet holes were also discovered
in the rear of a residence on Roleika Drive but nobody was injured.
 
Twenty-seven-year-old Dale Lloyd Fowler and 24-year-old Marco Morrell
Simmonds each face the following charges:
 
Section 86(2) CC – Unsafe Storage Contrary to Regulations
Section 88 CC – Possession of a Weapon for a Dangerous Purpose
 
Section 92(1) CC – Possession of a Firearm Knowing it is Unauthorized
 
Section 95 CC – Possession of a Restricted Firearm with Ammunition
 
Section 244 (b) – Discharging a Firearm with Intent
 
Fowler faces an additional charge of possession of a weapon contrary to
a prohibition order. They are both scheduled to appear in Dartmouth
Provincial Court today.
