Cannabis seized from unlicensed storefront in Cole Harbour

On December 19, the Halifax District Street Crime Enforcement Unit attended an unlicensed cannabis storefront on Caldwell Rd. in Cole Harbour.

Police inspected the property under the Cannabis Control Act to determine whether any offences were occurring and a search was conducted. Police seized a significant quantity of cannabis, cannabis products and cash. The investigation is ongoing.

Nova Scotia RCMP is continuing to employ a measured approach, which includes consultation with the stakeholders, to address the unlicensed sale of cannabis in the community. Increasing complaints and concerns about the products being sold and the potential sale to youth prompted the police action at these storefronts. Our goal is to have the unlicensed storefronts cease operations.
