Car hits two cyclists in Bedford

Police are investigating a collision between a vehicle and two cyclists that occurred yesterday in Bedford.

At approximately 8 p.m. police responded to a report of a collision between a vehicle and two cyclists near the intersection of the Bedford Highway and Hammonds Plains Road. The vehicle was turning left onto Hammonds Plains Road and collided with the cyclists who were proceeding through the intersection on the Bedford Highway.

The cyclists were taken to hospital for treatment of what are believed to be non-life-threatening injuries.

The investigation is ongoing, and investigators are asking anyone who has information or video from the area to contact police at 902-490-5016.
