High speed police chase through Sackville leaves two cruisers damaged

Halifax District RCMP is investigating a driver of a White VW Tiguan that was involved in a police pursuit at approximately 8:00pm. The vehicle had been involved in several incidents in the Halifax area and entered into Halifax District RCMP jurisdiction. RCMP activated emergency equipment in an attempt to stop the vehicle however the driver continued to speed away.

Police pursued the vehicle into the Churchill Downs area of Lower Sackville where two police cars were damaged as well as some private property. The vehicle fled the area, continuing onto the 101 Highway towards Windsor.  Police terminated the pursuit a short while later. The vehicle has not been located. No one was injured during the pursuit.
