Two men face charges in connection with a robbery which occurred early this morning in Halifax.

Police responded to Video Difference on Quinpool Road at 4:15 a.m. after a man entered the store armed with a knife and demanded cash from staff. The suspect fled in a waiting vehicle with an undisclosed amount of cash. The victim was not injured and was able to provide a description of the suspect to officers who located both the suspect and the driver of the vehicle a short while later and arrested them without incident.

Twenty-nine-year-old Carson Campbell and 47-year-old Robert Lavers, both of Halifax, were scheduled to appear in Halifax Provincial Court today to face charges of robbery and breach of probation. Campbell faces an additional charge of possession of a weapon.
