Charges Laid in Graffiti Incident

Two men face charges for spreading graffiti in south end Halifax yesterday afternoon.
 
At 5 p.m. Halifax Regional Police responded to Young Avenue in relation to a graffiti complaint. Patrol officers patrolled the area and located two men in the area of the Tower Road train bridge. They were arrested after the officers observed numerous cans of spray paint in a bag that one of the men was carrying. Upon a further search, the other man was found in possession of an extensive amount of spray paint as well as marijuana. A 24-year-old Halifax man faces charges of property damage in relation to this incident, and a 19-year-old Halifax man faces charges of property damage and possession of narcotics for the purpose of trafficking. They are both scheduled to appear in court at a later date.
