Charges laid in stabbing incident

Members of the General Investigation Section of the Integrated Criminal Investigation Division have laid charges in a stabbing that occurred on August 14 in Halifax.

At approximately 2:50 a.m., police responded to a disturbance at Taboo night club, 1743 Grafton Street, Halifax. Investigators determined that the victim was involved in an assault inside the club, and after being escorted outside by staff, he realized that he had been stabbed in the abdomen. The victim was taken to the QE11 and admitted for non-life threatening injuries.

Through the investigation, officers identified a suspect in this incident, and at 3:47 a.m. on August 15 the suspect turned himself in at Police Headquarters and was taken into custody.

Twenty-three-year-old Alban Dullovi of Halifax appeared in court yesterday afternoon to face charges of aggravated assault and possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose.
