Man assaulted during break and enter in Dartmouth

At 9 p.m., police responded to a report of a disturbance at an apartment building on Primrose Street in Dartmouth. Upon arrival, officers located a 63-year-old man who appeared to have been assaulted. The victim reported that two men broke into his apartment, stole a sum of money and assaulted him. He was transported to hospital for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries and subsequently released. The incident is under investigation by members of the General Investigation Section of the Integrated Criminal Investigation Division.
