Charges Laid in Thefts From Motor Vehicles

Halifax Regional Police are requesting the public’s assistance in finding the owners of recovered items stolen from motor vehicles in Bedford.

Halifax Regional Police are requesting the public’s assistance in finding the owners of recovered items stolen from motor vehicles in Bedford.

On July 18, as part of an ongoing investigation patrol officers arrested two 15-year-old male youths at an address in the 100 block of Rocky Lake Drive. Officers found a quantity of stolen items and determined that some of these items were taken from vehicles parked on Windrock and Shore Drives between July 16 and 18. Both youths are facing charges of theft under $5,000, possession of stolen property under $5,000 and, trespass by night. The two will appear in Halifax Provincial Youth Court at a later date.   
 
Police have yet to located the owners of a number of the items. They are asking anyone who’s vehicle was broken into between July 16 and 18, in the area of Windrock and Shore Drives to contact police at 902-490-5016.
