Kearney Lake and Birch Cove beaches reopen to swimming

Thursday, July 23, 2015 (Halifax, NS) – The Halifax Regional Municipality is advising residents that Kearney Lake Beach in Halifax and Birch Cove Beach in Dartmouth are both now reopen for swimming.

Tests earlier this week showed high bacteria levels in the water, but follow-up tests now show the water at both beaches is once again safe, as per Health Canada guidelines.
