Charges to be laid in theft of Donation Bucket

At approximately 3:30 pm on December 1 a Donation Bucket was stolen from the lobby of the Canadaian Tire at 10 Radcliffe Dr. 
The suspect grabbed the Donation Bucket and fled into a wooded area. Halifax Regional Police responded and with the help of the K9 unit attempted to contain the area to search for the suspect. Several articles of clothing were recovered, however, the suspect was not apprehended at that time.
 
With commmunity assistance and information, the suspects identity became known to police and at 4 pm on Sunday December 2, the suspect turned himself into Halifax Regional Police. The majority of the stolen money was also returned. A 24 year old male will be charged with Theft and Possession Under $5000 contrary to the Criminal Code of Canada.
