Citizens warned about slippery roads

HRM Partners in Policing are warning citizens to use caution as the roads are becoming slippery.

Police are currently dealing with a number of weather related collisions. Motorists, pedestrians and cyclists should be aware that roads are becoming slippery and a vehicle’s required stopping distance, in these conditions, will increase.

Pedestrians are reminded to make eye contact with drivers and wait until the vehicle comes to a complete stop before attempting to cross the road. Motorist are asked to slow down, leave additional room between you and the vehicle in front of you and watch out for people at cross walks.
