Colchester RCMP arrest man after shots fired, Bible Hill, N.S.

A Colchester County man has been arrested following a report of shots being fired in Bible Hill on June 29th. On June 29th at approximately 7:15 p.m., Colchester District RCMP responded to a report of a male discharging a firearm on Albert Avenue.

A Colchester County man has been arrested following a report of shots being fired in Bible Hill on June 29th.

On June 29th at approximately 7:15 p.m., Colchester District RCMP responded to a report of a male discharging a firearm on Albert Avenue.

An immediate patrol was made to the location and RCMP located a vehicle that had been damaged by suspected gunfire. Further investigation allowed RCMP to seize a rifle and ammunition from a residence on that street. A search warrant under the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act was executed at the residence and a large quantity of marijuana was seized.

On June 30th, Kim Wade Spencer, 52, was arrested without incident in Pictou County. The Bible Hill man has been charged with numerous offences including Careless Use of a Firearm, Unsafe Storage of a Firearm and Possession of Marijuana for the purpose of Trafficking. He was remanded into custody and will appear in Truro Provincial Court today. The investigation is continuing.
