Last evening, 11:17 p.m., Cole Harbour RCMP received a report of a robbery at a residence on Taranaki Drive.   A 37-year-old woman and a female friend had given a male a ride from a fireworks show.  When they were dropping him off, the male demanded the female’s belongings and when she did not comply, the suspect punched her in the head.  The two females abandoned their Black SUV and ran to a residence on Greely Court to await police.
 
Police located a male matching the description in a Black SUV on Taranaki Drive.  The uncooperative male attempted to resist police. Officers arrested the male and transported him to the Cole Harbour RCMP detachment.  He is currently in police custody.
 
The 21-year-old male is facing numerous Criminal Code charges including Robbery, Assault, Uttering Threats, Assault Police, Resist Arrest and Breach of a Recognizance. He will be appearing in Dartmouth Provincial Court later today.
