At 11:00 p.m. last evening near exit 14, a motorist struck a bear causing extensive damage to their vehicle. The bear was not located in or around the scene. The driver was not injured.

Deer, bear, ducks, raccoons, among other wildlife, are reasons for motorists to take steps to stay safe. Keep a sharp eye for wildlife, especially during night time. By taking safety precautions, drivers can reduce risks and help save lives – of people and wildlife.
